Boutique winemaker Carsten Migliarina’s tiny production of Albariño comes from a single-vineyard in the Stellenbosch Hills region of South Africa, on decomposed granite soils. Fragrant citrus and a sea breeze salinity lead to ripe stone-fruit flavours enlivened by grapefruit acidity and rounded texture. . Carsten Migliarina's South African Albariño comes from some of the first plantings of the grape in the region. Grown on decomposed granite, schistous soils, it echoes the terroir of northern Iberia – Albariño’s spiritual home. This wine is delicious with creamy scallop dishes, grilled fish with roasted lemon or a lime- and coriander-braised octopus.
