Stellenbosch: Migliarina Grenache 2022

A ruby-red aromatic South African Grenache from boutique winemaker Carsten Migliarina. Juicy raspberry, cherry and strawberry fruit balance this Grenache wine with fondant tannins, a velvety texture and a lengthy forest fruit finish. Delicious with robust pork dishes, spicy sausages and barbecues. Former sommelier Carsten Migliarina returned to his roots in southern Africa to make wine after a long stint as a sommelier in London.The grapes for this Grenache come from vineyards in the Stellenbosch Region of South Africa. Cold-soaked fruit extracted plenty of flavour and tannin from the skins to give structure to this wine. That process will allow additional flavours to develop in bottle as this wine ages. A perfumed forest fruit core is set against ripe young tannins, fresh acidity that will gently soften over time. Only 4060 bottles were produced. Stellenbosch: Migliarina Grenache 2022.
