One of the most prominent Premier Cru vineyards in Nuits-Saint-George, 'Les Damodes' borders Vosne-Romanée to the north, borrowing an element of perfume from its neighbour. Generous, sappy but decidedly mineral on the palate, this Pinot Noir from Frédéric Magnien is a wine that holds plenty of power in reserve, and will age gracefully over the next 10 to 15 years. Certified organic. Situated on marl limestone soils in the northern part of the appellation, wines like this Pinot Noir from Frédéric Magnien are best enjoyed around a decade after vintage where they have developed character in bottle.
