This wine is a superb example of the appellation, forward enough to be drunk with great pleasure in the short term but sturdy enough for successful cellaring. Certified organic. This old vine Gevrey-Chambertin from maestro Frédéric Magnien hails from limestone-clay soils over well-drained gravel beds from the lieu-dits of Clos Prieur-Bas, Les Epointures, Champ-Chenys, and Les Seuvrées - these soils give good structure to the finished wine.
