'Emily's Paddock' is a 3 hectare north-east facing vineyard that surrounds the family home. Smaller than nearby 'Georgia's Paddock' (which is 12 hectares with an easterly aspect), it is marginally higher and has deeper soils. Planted with 95% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Franc it is rightly prized as a rare gem by aficionados. Dense, dark and with great aromatic complexity, plus lashings of supple, ripe, sweet fruit, this 95% Shiraz and 5% Cabernet Franc blend benefits from a year or two in bottle and will age beautifully for two decades.
