Guy Lyons' much-lauded Block 1 Riesling comes from a single small parcel of dry-farmed old-vines on Mount Barker. With a mineral core and racy citrus acidity, its stone fruit finish is lifted by bright aromatics and silky texture after time on the lees. This block, planted in 1965, first gained national recognition when the wine produced from the 1975 vintage won 12 Gold medals on the national wine show circuit.
