Named as a tribute to their father, brothers Max and Romain Champet produce this special cuvée in exceptional vintages from a particular schist-dominated plot of old vines on the 'La Viallière' lieu-dit. Intense and complex, this is a classic Côte-Rôtie wine with forest fruit, floral violets and a vein of black pepper and spice. First conceived in 2015, this cuvée of Côte-Rôtie from Domaine Champet is intended to be a 'superior' wine with more intensity than the 'La Viallière' bottling. This Syrah-dominant blend contains 5% Viognier and is intended to reflect the unique terroir of this specific plot.Decant for 2 to 3 hours before serving. .
