Ratcheting up a gear in rank (and, bien sur, price) from the generic Chablis is Christophe Camu's 'Premier Cru' bottling from the south-facing Beauroy vineyard. A concentrated, expressive Chablis, it is a wine that will stand up well to fish or poultry in creamy sauces and will cellar for a decade. Christophe Camu's 'Premier Cru' Chablis hails from the the Beauroy climat, three kilometres north east of the town centre. It has a pale straw colour with floral aromas and a weightier, more complex palate than its junior sibling wine, with classic 'wet pebble' mineral tastes, rich fruit and a long, dry finish.
