Canny negoçiant Stéphane Brocard owns a small parcel of vines in the Pommard lieux-dit of 'Rue au Porc', which he somewhat confusingly labels as 'Rue au Port' - perhaps, he prefers a maritime rather than porcine association! In any case, the wine is a cracker!. Pommard is a commune of 320 hectares at the north of the Côte de Beaune, just South of the town of Beaune, with a reputation for producing rich, fruit-filled Pinot Noir. There are no Grand Cru wines here, but some good value wines that are well-matched to game, lamb and local cheeses Époisses and Langres. Pommard: Closerie des Alisiers 'La Rue au Port' 2020. Stéphane Brocard. Burgundy Wine > Côte de Beaune Wine. Red Wine
