"Spicier and denser than the traditional cuvée, the 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Elisabeth Chambellan Vieilles Vignes offers up aromas of dark olive tapenade, dark cherries and flowers. Medium to full-bodied, suave and round, it's layered and textured with a fleshy core of fruit that segues into a long, harmonious and penetrating finish. Macerated for 25 days, this blend of 88% Grenache Noir, 10% Syrah and 2% Mourvèdre matured for 11 months in a combination of foudres, stainless steel and concrete tanks. Drink 2024 - 2040. 93/100."Yohan Castaing - The Wine Advocate. 'Elisabeth Chambellan' is the senior, flagship cuvée - it hails from various parcels of 80 to 100 year-old (mostly) Grenache Noir vines grown on La Crau plateau. Denser, darker and more structured and age-worthy than the Domaine's principal Châteauneuf', it carries the house signature of lashings of ripe red fruit that makes it hard to resist drinking from the time of bottling. Châteauneuf-du-Pape: Domaine du Père Caboche 'Elisabeth Chambellan' 2022. Domaine Père Caboche (Jean-Pierre & Emilie Boisson). Rhône Wine > Châteauneuf du Pape Wine. Red Wine
