Léon Beyer’s 'La Cuvée' is a dry white Alsace wine blend usually of Pinot Blanc and Muscat (some vintages contain some Sylvaner). Such blends are often described as 'Edelzwicker' (German for 'noble mixture'), and allow winemakers to express their house style and can often be terrific value. Such blends are not permitted to name the varieties used on the label. Subtle mineral and lemon nose, with a light body, silky texture with nervy citrus, mint and green apple flavours underlined by a touch of spice and refreshing acidity.
