Philippe Collin, the son of a Champenois, makes this bottle-fermented Crémant de Limoux sparkling wine from \'Champagne grapes\' Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Limoux region. The fine mousse and clean finish of this excellent Crémant de Limoux belie its Seventies label and humble price tag. If there was a contest to find the most apt wine for the current turbulent economic climate then Philippe Collin\'s Crémant de Limoux Brut \'Cuvée Sélection\' would surely be a contender. Made from a \'Champagne\' blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay and bottle-fermented in the méthode traditionelle, it is a versatile crowd-pleasing fizz that belies its modest price tag. With a light, frothy mousse, attractive biscuity nose and crisp, dry, spankingly-clean palate, this Crémant de Limoux Brut is a terrific choice for all the occasions when budgets are abridged but bubbles are beneficial, perfect for all manner of celebrations from the hamster\'s birthday to the decree nisi being confirmed. Crémant de Limoux: Domaine Collin \'Cuvée Sélection\' Brut. Domaine Collin (Phillippe Collin). Languedoc Wine > Limoux Wine. White Wine
