Alsace is the only French region to vinify Muscat in a dry style. In fact, this wine is a blend of two types of Muscat vines - \'Alsace Muscat\' and \'Muscat Ottonel\'. The bouquet is typically \'Muscat\', but not overwhelmingly so; the rich palate has spicy notes and it\'s a good partner for that tricky ingredient, asparagus. This clear, fresh Alsace Muscat from Léon Beyer is ideal as an aperitif, but would also accompany marinated salmon, fish pâtés or stuffed crab. It should be served cool, at around 10 degrees C.
