A full-bodied Bandol red wine from the Côte d\'Azur, with a beguiling, deep purple robe, dark, hedgerow berry scents and a palate of black fruit, spices, dried ceps and game. The Mas de la Rouvière rouge is made from a base of Mourvèdre along with lesser volumes of Grenache Noir and Syrah. It ages well for a decade or more and makes a fine accompaniment to roast beef or lamb or Autumnal mushroom dishes.Since the 2011 vintage the Bandol red has been certified as organic - as is their whole range of white and rosé.
