Situated on the pebble-stone soils of Montjau in the Ardèche, this full-bodied organic Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan blend is a step up from most Côtes du Rhône. With a chocolatey, spicy nose and velvety rich cassis and black cherry palate, this full-bodied blend red has supple tannins and a peppery finish. Certified organic. Located in the limestone- and iron-rich soils of the Ardèche (between the Rhône valley and Provence), Montjau is located on the slopes of Bourg-Saint-Andéol and is one of the villages permitted to append its name to Côtes du Rhône on labels. Benefiting from a Mediterranean climate alongside soils full of heat-retaining pudding stones (the same as those found in Châteauneuf-du-Pape), the steep hillsides around Bourg-Saint-Andéol help capture the sunshine to ripen the fruit that is also cooled by the Mistral winds.Serve with a roasted vegetable ratatouille, grilled meats or a warming Moroccan tagine. Côtes du Rhône: Vignerons Ardéchois \'Montjau\' 2020. Vignerons Ardéchois. Rhône Wine > Côtes du Rhône Wine. Red Wine
