A négociant wine that has graced these pages for decades coming from our old chum Yves Chéron\'s \'Pascal Frères\' stable. Their über-reliable \'Cuvée Personelle\', from a Syrah (25%) and Grenache Noir blend has deservedly garnered a loyal following. Sourced from vines averaging over 50 years-old on limestone-clay soils, fruit is totally destemmed before fermentation. It drinks very well with 3 to 5 years bottle-age. A great day-to-day red wine which emphasises what you do not get from some other bottles - has a richness and depth which is not necessarily expected at the price.
