An unmitigated bargain from the Northern Rhône IGP that keeps on giving - Collines Rhodaniennes. This pure Syrah 'mini' Côte-Rôtie from Patrick Jasmin has that grand appellation's wine hallmarks of sleek black fruit and cool mineral core. Patrick Jasmin's IGP Collines Rhodaniennes bottling 'La Chevalière' comes from two parcels of Syrah vines, both just outside the Côte-Rôtie appellation. One is below Côte-Rôtie near Tupin on the valley floor near the Rhône which the Jasmin family have farmed since the 1980s.
