Yapp Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2023

A bright, aromatic bien authentique 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Touraine region adds breadth to our flourishing regional own label range. The 'YTS' is produced by Les Vignerons des Coteaux Romanais (one of seven co-opératives that form the Alliance Loire wine group) at Saint-Romain-sur-Cher, a short canot ride east along the Cher (tributary of the Loire) from the awe-inspiring Château de Chenonceau. The large appellation of Touraine produces 30 million bottles per annum, covering white wine (from Sauvignons blanc and gris), rosé and red (from Gamay, Cot & Cabernet Franc) and runs from Chinon in the west to Blois in the east. It's best known for Sauvignon, which is more aromatic and full-bodied than counterparts due south-east such as Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. Serve as an aperitif or match its lemon and nectarine flavours with fruits de mer, goat's cheese or zander fillet.
