The single vineyard ‘Finca La Escuela’ Malbec comes from Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley - the Finca or vineyard is so-named for the 100 year-old rural school or escuela located on the property. It is a complex and full wine, smooth with intense notes of violet, fresh plum and sour cherry on the palate, with herbal aromas. Situated at 1,200 metres (4,000 feet) above sea level, the vineyard has a unique soil profile with 4 distinct soil types: silt, stone, gravel and sand. In order to maximise the potential of each plot, grapes are harvested at 10 different dates over 3 weeks. This meticulous approach and the intricate patchwork of soils result in a wine of considerable complexity with lifted red fruit aromatics and a palate showing impressive density and concentration, balanced beautifully by high-altitude acidity. Tinto Nero: Uco Valley Malbec 'Finca La Escuela' 2020. Tinto Negro. Argentina Wine > Wine. Red Wine
