The Moulin de Gassac wines from the Guibert family of Mas de Daumas Gassac make characterful varietal bottlings at accessible prices. Their Pays d'Oc bottling of pure Grenache Noir comes from Villeveyrac near Pézenas. Juicy raspberry fruit aromas abound with a garrigue herb finish that’s ideal with poultry, charcuterie or light red meats. This IGP from Domaine de Daumas Gassac is from pure Grenache, planted on bauxite-rich cretaceous chalk soils around Villeveyrac, south-west of Montpellier.
