Hello, thank you for taking your time to make a review. Unfortunately as you booked a campsite it requires ourselves tosend an email to the relevant person to make your reservation as we do not have a direct link into their reservation system as they are so small organisation. It did take a number of days for them to confirm your reservation which is why your confirmation was delayed.
We do update our availability on a very regular basis and accommodations do tend to only show when they have availability. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, but I hope this has cleared the situation for you.

Thank you for your explanation and for taking the time to follow up on feedback. I think if it was noted more prominently on the campsite pages that checking availability and booking does not guarantee a spot and that you need to contact them to confirm this would have alleviated the negative surprise I received upon checkout. If it is noted there already and I haven't seen it my apologies.
