Furthermore, it is worth noting that the vehicles are put through a lot of high-energy manoeuvres every day, not just on the experience you booked on for, but others like it from the same supplier, so they will be subject to more natural wear and tear and need for maintenance or repairs than would normally be the case. The suppliers at the venue will always endeavour to have high performance replacements if necessary in the case of warning lights, delays, curtailments or other mechanical issues. What they have also advised us is that the instructor you had on the day is one that has been with them for many years, who has until now not had any negative feedback and is actually popular with customers. The manager at the supplier has also advised us that they were running front of house on the day of your event, and that they spoke to you after your drive and you only had positive feedback at the time. What the supplier at the venue will always make explicitly clear to customers such as yourself is that, if there are any issues you experience on the day, then you are to raise these with the supplier before you leave the venue. In almost all cases, they will be able to resolve any issues experienced on the day there and then, so as to avoid the situation escalating into less than positive feedback as it has done here. Regarding the layouts used, these are set and controlled by the supplier at the venue, and may utilise a different formation to the actual track length on site. The reason why they are laid out as such is so that all in attendance on the day can enjoy the driving experiences safely, and to ensure the safety of staff, visitors and instructors on the day. Regarding the Damage Waiver offered on the day by the supplier at the venue, this is offered to all customers so as to give peace of mind that, in the unlikely event of the vehicle(s) sustaining any damage on the day, you would not be liable for its costs of repairs, but you are not under obligation to take this. Regarding which gears you were allowed to shift into, the suppliers at the venue will usually require participants to follow safety procedures. We would ask customers to please do as they ask for your own safety and of those around you. The instructor may need to assist you or direct your attention in certain areas, such as acceleration and braking. Regarding the media package, they send their apologies but advise that unfortunately SD cards can fail at times, but this is why their team checks them before allowing customers to leave to ensure this is handled on the spot without a customer having to reach out to them after the event. Regarding gear shifting, they have advised that is allowed within reason and our instructor has flags to advise of when they should be shifting up or down, these cars run motorbike engines and are incredibly light, the gearing they suggest is to ensure the customers safety allowing them to put down considerable power and speed without immediately spinning out of control, and it therefore requires the appropriate driving skill to handle a car that is significantly more powerful than an average road going car.
