Producing masses of flower clusters on a very compact plant, Agapanthus ‘Blue Thunder’ is the perfect choice for smaller spaces. Despite its small form, it does not compromise on display. The flowers are a deep, inky blue opening from dark buds and held on sturdy stems above strap-like leaves. This hardy, evergreen agapanthus is a hard-working but undemanding perennial. Drought tolerant once established, it will stand up to the heat to give a reliable and long-flowering performance from midsummer to autumn. Excellent for smaller borders or to edge large borders, and well-adapted to coastal or dry situations. It makes a lovely specimen for a pot on the balcony or terrace where its leaves provide foliage interest even before the flowers bloom.
