Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that your seats were changed. we only do this when it is necessary and we do mention it in our T&Cs. The vacant from seats can only have been due to a no show/cancellation. In regards to your room, I would like to express my personal apologies for the issues you have mentioned. Yes the chefs have usually been very good but never on the first evening and I usually take my own dessert as I am usually offered a fruit salad.Not very nice when everyone else has the option of a lovely pudding with custard .Before booking another Shearrings holiday I will request a menu prior to making a firm booking. I am very sorry for the issues you experiences whilst at The St Ives Bay Hotel. This is not typical of the service we aim to provide our customers with. Our chefs are happy to assist with any dietary requirements and is concerning that you did not receive meals suitable for your diet. Please rest assured that we have taken this on board and advised the Hotel of your experience and this will be looked into going forward.
