Weighted Compression Vest

Weights: Weights are safely positioned in pockets inside the vest and can be added or removed. (Machine washable on cold wash when weights are removed). Most sizes include two 1/2 lb. weights and four 1/4 lb. weights for a total of 2 lbs (approx 1kg). XX-Small includes four 1/4 lb. weights for a total of 1 lb (approx 0.5kg). Important: Weighted Compression Vests should only be used with the direction and advice of an OT or other suitably qualified person.   It is recommended that the Vest weight does not exceed 5% of the users’s bodyweight unless recommended otherwise by an OT. Ensure that the Vest weight is appropriate for the user. Check for signs of wear & tear before and after use. WARNINGS: KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE. Adult supervision required. Do not use as a restraint. Do not use while sleeping. Do not use during active play. Use one weighted product at a time. Guidelines for usage: Hook and loop closures on the sides allow for maximum comfort, easy sizing, and quick removal. The vest should not be used during active play such as running, jumping, turning upside down, spinning etc. As a general guide, the jacket should be worn for periods of around 20 to 40 minutes and then removed for at least the same amount of time before being used again. We recommend that you consult with your Occupational Therapist to devise a schedule for use of the weighted jacket.
