Hello, we are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your AirPortr experience. While BA can tag your bags to your final destination, you still have to self-transfer the bags through customs as this is a mandatory customs requirement in the USA. As your booking in our system was only placed to Miami, not Puerto Plata, we were not aware you wished for us to check-in your bags to an onwards destination. Do discuss your excess luggage fee with your airline - this is completely at their discretion and maybe that you had only paid for excess baggage for your first flight into Miami, so may have to pay additional fees for the remainder of your journey. We're sorry you have not had a good AirPortr experience and will take learnings from it to make sure our policy is very clear to our customers.
