We are sorry if you felt the maintenece team were a disturbance, we will pass these comments to the owner.  I know they do try to cause as little disruption as possible, but sometimes in summer season it is not always possible to do things on changeover days as it is so busy and they work to a tight schedule.  The pool does have to be cleaned that frequesntly for health and safety reasons.  I hope that despite this you managed to enjoy your stay and that you would book with us again in the future.

Hello Gary, Thank you for your feedback. Firstly, we’d like to say we are very happy that you were pleased with our booking service. We would be happy to help you find another villa in the future.

In response to your review of the villa, please find our response to your points made below.

The villa was owner occupied, hence there are a few items in there that are more personal. However, having visited the villa ourselves we felt this actually adds some charm to the villa.

We have informed the owner about the squeaky beds. This can be easily remedied, so thank you for pointing that out. The number of loungers by the pool is fairly typical for a villa of this size, any more and it can get a little crowded. We can appreciate that an umbrella would be a welcome addition and again, we have suggested this to the owner.

Many villas on the Costa del Sol now have timers on the air con units. This is due to the extortionate cost of running the units. Owners either choose to charge more for air con, or have the timers to stop people leaving units on all day. The property advert does clearly state that the bedrooms have air con, but we do not list this as a facility in the living area. You can see under the room information on the advert that the living areas do not have air con. All rooms that have it are listed.

It is usual for the gardener to call over unannounced. During the summer months he has such a busy schedule that he goes from one job to the next for the whole day, he simply would not have time to inform guests before arriving as jobs can overrun etc. We have never had any complaints about him being a nuisance. 

The water pressure will be looked at, but this is a fairly common issue with properties on the Costa, they just don’t have the same water pressure that you may be used to at home. WiFi in the area also does not have the same download speeds that you would expect at home, it’s simply not available in semi-rural areas on the Costa del Sol. 

New legislation means that villa information will have to be provided, but not before May 2017. We agree that having this information is useful and all homes will have this for next summer season. No other guests have ever pressed the panic button before but the owner will have a sign put up to avoid this in the future.

Thank you for your feedback Lisa.  We are sorry that you were not 100% happy with Villa SP023.  We have spoken to the property manager who has since been to check on the villa.  She has purchased new utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery for the kitchen.

The broekn fridge in the utiltiy room had been removed and put in the utility room as to get it out of the property it involves taking a doorframe off.  This unfortunately isn't an option in peak season, but we are sorry that it was there.  The towels in the laundry room are kept there by the cleaners to replace when they clean and prepare the property; these should have been put away by them.

The property manager agrees that the bar area is in need of TLC.  We are very sorry they did not make us aware of this before your stay.  This is now closed and will be re-vamped (along with other areas that need some attention) when the owners visits in a few weeks time.

We always take customers' feedback seriously and we appreciate guests telling us about concerns in the property.  We are just very sorry that things were not perfect for your stay.  We hope this would not deter you from booking with us again in the future.
