We are pleased to hear that your instructor helped you get back up to speed after a year of not skiing and that you enjoyed your time with them. The decision for you to stay in Meribel may have been made by your instructor as they may have felt that you would have gained the most from the lesson by not travelling too far from Meribel, as it was a 2.5-hour session. We also always endeavour to ensure that our guests are skiing at the right level. We'll look into this to see how we can better improve in pushing our guests to the extent of their capabilities where appropriate so as not to over-terrain them or damage confidence. We would like to reassure you of your instructor's qualifications. She has been working with us for two years and holds the highest qualification at a European level. We also want to highlight that skiing in front of a student is one of the key teaching techniques for an instructor. The choice of terrain, the radius of the turns, and simultaneously demonstrating movements—along with their timing throughout the turn—are essential components of a lesson. We apologise if this was not communicated clearly. Striking the right balance between allowing students to practice on the appropriate terrain and spending time on exercises or explanations in a stationary setting is always a challenge. We regret if this aspect of the lesson was not conveyed effectively. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back on the slopes with us soon.
