Hi there Janet, First off, thank you for letting us know about your experience with Mitja in Courchevel 1650. We’re elated to hear that your sons enjoyed their time with Mitja and that his friendly manner was appreciated! We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the amount your sons felt they had learnt in the lesson. As two young men, we can understand that they were eager to explore further, but it’s Mitja’s utmost priority to ensure they are in control and safe before tackling any harder runs away from the beginner area. When we spoke to Mitja, he felt they were not ready to leave this area as they were still practising maintaining their speed and overall control. It is important for us to prioritise safety, especially as beginners, which means it’s essential that we spend time teaching control before exploring further. We do always discuss the aims for the lesson so our clients know what to expect; we’d like to apologise if this was not communicated and if they felt we didn’t set the expectations clearly for them at the start. We’ll make sure this is highlighted to the Resort Manager so our training can be improved, and we can ensure things are clear in the future.
