Good morning Thank you for your review. We do mention on the website that the track is rough: Access to the cottage is via a locked gate and requires a careful drive down the track. Once parked, the cottage is accessed on foot via s steep track of approximately 150 yards. This unmade track is rough and can be wet, muddy and sometimes slippery. Suitable footwear is recommended. This is also mentioned in your booking confirmation. We're sorry this caused you to curtail your holiday. Kind regards National Trust Holidays
