RSPB Send your Christmas greetings with a robin's cheery song: open the card and a sound-chip plays an accurate recording of a robin's song. The robin is one of the few UK birds to sing all year round and both sexes sing to attract a mate and mark their territory. In winter the males and females hold separate territories and while their autumn songs are more melancholy in tone the bright and cheerful spring songs begin from the middle of December.
