Fun ceramic lidded owl jar containing delicious British made mini choc chip biscuits. Ceramic biscuit barrels first became popular in the 1860s, inspired by the barrels used as containers on ships. Soon becoming an essential hosting item in any household, novelty designs were developed in the early 20th century such as Burlington Ware produced by John Shaw and Sons which became popular in the 1950s. I have received the replacement Owl Shaped Biscuit Barrel to replace the faulty one and I'm fully satisfied and report the matter resolved. The one unfortunate item will not stop me buying from them...
