This quartet of four China mugs has been decorated with celebrated works by eminent Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt (1862–1918) from his illustrious, Golden Phase: 'The Kiss', 1908, 'Adele Bloch-Bauer I', 1907, and details from the Stoclet Frieze, 1905-11. One of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement, Klimt produced paintings, murals, sketches, and other objects d'art, the most iconic of which were arguably from his 'Golden Phase' – marked by the opulent use of gold leaf.
