The British Library Christmas cards telling the Holy Story through reproductions of the exquisitely detailed and jewel-like miniatures decorating the pages of the Bedford Hours, 1414–23 and the Dunois Hours, c.1440–50. Includes details of the Annunciation, the Nativity, Annunciation to the Shepherds, Adoration of the Magi and the Flight into Egypt, each decorated with floriated borders and marginal scenes. Originally produced in Paris for wealthy patrons, the manuscripts are now prized treasures in the collection of the British Library.
