Delightful Christmas cards reproducing whimsical details from a 1907 advertisement for Tom Smith’s ‘Dutch China Christmas Crackers’. Emulating Delft-style tiles, the blue-and-white designs decorated the co-ordinating packaging for the popular Christmas staple from the 1880s. Invented by Tom Smith in 1847, the eponymous firm gained a Royal Warrant in 1906. The fun designs, depicting winter skating, music and Christmas feasting with people in traditional Dutch costumes, are sure to spark smiles with your Christmas wishes. Made exclusively for Museum Selection.
