Reproducing 20th and 21st century paintings and illustrations by popular British artists, drawn from the archives of Royle Publications. Includes ‘Great Tit and Japonica’, by Sussex-artist Noël Hubert Hopking (1882-1964); ‘Barn Owlet with Lichen’, by Basil Ede (1931-2016); ‘Bullfinch & Apple Blossom’, by Hilary Burn (b.1946); and ‘Kingfisher’ by Lancashire-based artist W. Geoff Rollinson (b.1946). Royle Publications was one of the leading British greetings card companies in the post-war era, co-founded by visionary publisher Noel Carrington (1895-1989).
