Dear Customer
If you are not seeing any moths on the Traps it could be for the following reasons:
1) The moth you are targeting is not one of the Moths mentioned above. You may like to view our guide on
Identifying Clothes and Carpet Moths.
Our Traps catch the following types of Moth:
•Webbing Clothes Moth, otherwise know as the Common Clothes Moth (Tineola bisselliella)
•Case Bearing Moth, otherwise know as the Case Making Moth (Tinea pellionella)
•White Shouldered House Moth (Endrosis sarcitrella)
•Brown House Moth (Hofmannophila pseudospretella)
The traps attract the active adult male moths and can be kept in place for 12 weeks after opening.
2) It could be due to the stage in the moth life cycle. The moths you are seeing flying around may be females and juveniles, so when the males mature and are sexually active they will be attracted to the Traps.
3) Positioning of the Traps is important. They need to be 3-6 feet above carpet level. If you have any other moth deterrents placed nearby they can distract from the Traps.
If you require more information it can be found in this article
