We are sorry to hear you are not completely satisfied with the mattress you have purchased from us.
This mattress does have tufts in it as you have pointed out; however this should not impact your sleeping surface or cause you any problems.
With regards to the tufts on the mattress that you are referring to; these are common in firm orthopaedic mattresses and add to the longevity of the mattress.
Adding extra springs into the mattress, would not stop the tufts being there. The springs used within this mattress are Silentnight's famous Miracoil Spring System, which is designed to offer anatomical support to provide a restful night's sleep.
