I'm sorry your waking with aches and pains. I can understand why you're feeling a little frustrated.
There's a couple of super handy ways to make your mattress feel firmer. You could try adding a firm mattress topper. Also, making sure your mattress is on a divan base helps to make your mattress feel firmer. This is because bed frames often come with sprugn slats which make your mattress feel softer. I know this is far from ideal but is just something we'd advise.
