I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with the discounts we provide. I am unable to locate the original email in which the discount code was originally offered, however it should have been highlighted at the time that this is not applicable to commercial items, smart home items and those already prone to clearance prices. In regards to a promotional period that had taken place after this, certain codes are only applicable during promotional periods and cannot be used outside of this timeframe. If you are subscribed to our mailing list we do provide discount codes as and when these may become available.

Good Morning,

Please accept our apologies you feel you have received poor service from us especially with returning an item to us, Firstly i agree with you our current returns process and service could be better, we are in the process of updating our returns service to improve the customers journey with us, in relation to the units you purchased from reading what you have wrote I believe their is some confusion, when we advertise a bulb on our website we advertise how the unit compares to halogen equivalents, this comparison is purely on a wattage basis, not the size/shape or fit of the unit, we place unit measurements on the main page below the picture when purchasing to give our customers the most information possible to help with selecting the right product. We apologise the information wasn't clear enough or advised you incorrectly into purchasing an item that didn't work in your setting.

Sorry, but that is not good enough. It is well within your power to make exceptions to your so-called 'policy', which by the way, is not fit for purpose either. The dimensions you mention were tiny and not easy to find. And by the way, when something is marketed as a 'replacement', a customer is going to take your word for it. We are quite clearly back where we were 6 years ago when 'GU10 Halogen replacements' were marketed, when actually none of them could really fit into existing downlight/spotlight fittings! If you've been in the lighting industry long enough, you will remember the debacles that ensued. It was only a few years later that we started to have 'true replacements' for 50W GU10 Halogen bulbs! Quite frankly, losing a potential long term customer over £5 is ridiculous, and shows everyone what kind of company you are.
