Hi Brian, Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with your new Gloucester parasol. Can we ask you check the following which may help with the problems you're having. Please ensure all the parts of the parasol are connected correctly and are in the right place, the plastic base is filled with sufficient sand/water to take the weight of the parasols 3mt canopy. We always recommend any parasol is not left unattended or used in windy conditions. We hope this helps.
