Thank you for your feedback on both your experience with our team and how the Home for Life Plan product helped you. It’s great the hear how you were able to move to a better location with what sounds like idyllic views, and living close to friends and amenities is important - our customer’s needs and wishes are at the forefront of every property search we help with.
As every customer is different, every Home for Life Plan is bespoke and tailored to the customer’s needs – this includes the savings available. As stated in our documentation and on our website, our calculators can provide an indicative estimate, but our Customer Account team will always need to verify figures once all factors are discussed, including the customer’s desired property being freehold/leasehold/retirement and whether future safeguarding is desired, for example.
Prior to any property and Home for Life purchase, every customer is supported by their chosen independent solicitor and selling estate agent. Whilst we may make introductions, for example where we have worked with estate agents in the area before, the customer is free to choose representatives who will support them independently of Homewise.
The property market can be competitive, and this often influences the sale process. Offers may be made to facilitate a quick sale (if desired) and competition from other buyers may drive purchase prices, however it is always our customer’s decision whether to move forward with any proposed sale or purchase. Please be assured Homewise will always act in the best interest of our customer and if the property is the one they want we’ll do everything possible to secure it for them, including enhancing our offers, provided all parties are in agreement to do so.
