To answer you concerns with regards to applying dressings on wounds, yes, as domiciliary homecare providers, we are able to apply dressings for wounds.
We are highly experienced care professionals who are able to provide a comprehensive range of advanced wound care services in the comfort and privacy of our clients homes.
Our care delivery team can help treat and heal chronic wounds, ranging from surgical to pressure ulcers, injuries to bedsores, and diabetic and neuropathic ulcers.
The process in all cases starts with a district nurse coming to the home of the client with an open wound for a first dressing and a full assessment. The district nurse will also take the time to fully assess the situation and draw a skilled nursing treatment plan that can be coordinated with the registered GP for a doctors indications and updates.
The district nurse will come to a clients home on a regular schedule to assess, clean, and dress the wound until it has healed or the client can safely take care of it themself, or with the help of a family member or a care assistant.
If the registered GP feels a change should be made to the wound care plan, they contact us the provider in order to pass the indications onto the visiting nurse.
