I have been asked to add or change what I gave as feedback for my annuity purchase. Considering I gave all my medical details to the "clerk" who had the onerous task of inserting them in your computerized system and who provided no advice or comment a commission receipt of over 5% seems to be excessive. As a former IFA I would have been embarrassed at taking this amount of remuneration for the small amount of work and time taken in this exercise by Hargreaves Lansdown. I fear that I may be going through a different intermediary for any additional investments I make in the future
