Hi, Thank you for your feedback. I see you have shipped your goods from our Guernsey warehouse. It is recommended that you only look to ship higher value goods to this address as shipping options are limited to DHL and can be a little more expensive than shipping from our mainland UK address. It is therefore important that you calculate beforehand that the vat saving on the purchase is higher than the possible increase in shipping costs from this facility compared to shipping from the UK mainland. I see you also made use of our combine and repack service which helps reduce the chargeable weight of your goods and therefore reduce the shipping costs. The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. I hope this helps explain.

Hi Gregory, Many thanks for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you feel dissatisfied with our services. We do clearly advise customers, regarding dangerous goods shipments/lithium batteries, from our FAQs page (Can forward2me ship perfumes, aftershaves, aerosols and batteries that are classed as dangerous goods?) Customers are advised to inform our customer services department, prior to purchasing perfumes or any potential dangerous goods, to ensure we can offer a shipping service to the stated country of destination from the required warehouse and to also confirm the relevant additional dangerous goods surcharges that would need to be included on top of the base shipping price. Unfortunately all dangerous good surcharge fees are not established by ourselves but by the accredited couriers who have to abide by the rules and regulations set out by ADR (Dangerous Goods By Road) or IATA (International Air Transport Association). Therefore there is no negotiation on the set dangerous goods surcharge fees for shipments containing products such as perfumes.
