Thanks for the e-mail. The black backing comes out after washing. It`s there so when we do the embriodery it sits nicely on the product, without that finsihed product would not look so good. Kind Regards fraser towelsrus.co.uk

The black paper is still largely there after washing. Can I suggest you use a white paper so it's not so obvious. It's a bit tricky giving a gift that looks scrappy. When I called they didn't seem to understand this would be a problem.
