We offer our students the opportunity to purchase and complete the course before they turn 18 so that they are ready to go when they turn 18. We provide a warning in the form of a red banner on the payment screen with the following bold text: "Based on your age (17), this course can be completed now and a certificate of completion will be issued, however, the certificate of completion will not be valid for use at the DMV until your 18th birthday. Your purchase of this course marks your understanding of the previous statement.". We record a note on the student's account so that we know that this warning was presented as it was on your account. We're sorry you completed the course and missed this warning but the certificate of completion from the Illinois Secretary of State does not expire and will be valid once you turn 18 to get a drivers license.
