Hi there, Thank you for your feedback which is always very helpful. As the UVP fabric/process is still relatively new to the market, the manufacturers still do not have a standardised rating. Some use percentages and other UVP factors. From what I can tell a 95% is similar to a UVP factor of 50+ but no one can confirm this, as they tend to use one or the other. Is it something we need to clarify on the website and I will certainly look into this. As with all UVP Parasols and Umbrellas these only protect from direct rays, and not reflective rays, so you still need to use sun cream. Take care, Christine - Brolliesgalore

I also have an allergy to suncream-- every suncream I have ever tried, in every form. As I am also allergic to the sun, it's even more important that the sun brollies do what they claim. The double canopy, I believe, does offer adequate protection. But I do not believe the claims for the single canopy as 95% protection considering how severe my reaction was when using it. I think the Von Lilienfeld company should investigate this further before using '95% UV protection' on their single canopy brollies. I don't believe it for a second considering how bad a sun reaction I had. I understand this is an issue out of your control, and will still happily purchase from you again-- as long as the brollie is double canopy. Thanks for the reply!
