We’ve spoken to the branch about your particular situation.
With regard to being able to mark a property as Sold Subject To Contract, our system requires that solicitors are appointed and that Memorandums of Sale are created before this stage can take place.
Our understanding from speaking with branch, is that although you had the name of the solicitor company, there wasn’t anyone allocated to your case and after us calling them to see if that could be actioned, they advised that wasn’t going to take place until the following Monday.
With you requesting that the property be taken off the market, I believe the team in the branch offered to try and help you appoint a solicitor late on on the Friday to help you facilitate getting the property marked as Sold STC. I believe that following that, the other viewings that were already booked on the property were cancelled also.
