Budget doesn't really cover anything....dont bother with this travel insurance. Go elsewhere.

Sports insurance for Brazil trip
I would not rate an insurance company above a 3 until I used them for a claim…..
But yes it was easy to sign up and pay - but most things are!

Whilst I appreciate your response and effort nothing has happened apart from one email from your claims handling company Gallagher Basset saying this was still being looked at.
How can you sell a product of safety and security and in my opinion offer nothing. Over 3 months from the accident.
Parents please be aware of using Big Cat and this claims handler for any long trips, gap years unless you can afford to pay for any treatments yourself and carry the cost for months.
I had now referred this to the FOS.

The email I received on the 9th from Gallagher Basset states:
"Your claim has now been assessed and passed for final checks to be carried out before any payments can be released. Once these final checks have been completed we will contact you to confirm the outcome."
which is different from a payment being raised.
I have working the in travel industry for 30 years and would never partner with an organisation that takes 3 months to evaluate a simple claim.
In addition we actually used the NHS for follow up treatment which was dramatically more efficient that your current partner CSAL.
As far as I am concerned this matter is now with the FOS and and I will be serving Big Cat with a claim for both my sons policies in the small claims court.
